Christmas Magic

So, I do not have any new outfit pictures but in order to record that i still remember my blog i am going to post a few nice pieces i picked today from the shops.

Number 1 are leather pumps with studs. Studs are not too shiny which i liked and the heel is very classical and they are super comfortable to walk on. Well, i bought them for the international business forum in Jan 2010, so it goes to 2010 budget, right? :)

Number 2 is a Helmut Lang double waistcoat (2 layers) copy in black from Gina Tricot, i still do not have a photo, but it is coming soon. :)

Number 3 is a simple black skirt with puffy side pockets - relaxed version of classical black skirt.

investment purchases all, i hope...

Part II Chic Parisienne et etnique :)

Another newcomer to my wardrobe is this lovely wooden necklace from Bijou Brigitte. I know, most of the stuff there is basically junk. I bought couple of metal rings that oxydized pretty much within 1 month. Big disappointment. So i rely on natural materials that stand time, wear and simply look better. This one is black painted wood and couple of beads are encrusted with the mother of pearl elements. Lovely ethnic touch and just enough for a statement on top of a basic stripy T. and finally comes my grey/green top from H&M. I have been eyeing it for who knows how long. They had it in pale pink and it was sold out in 2 weeks. But well, that was too obvious - pink chiffon frills, I actually love this shade even better. Nice blurry green...Goes perfectly with grey and black. Now i can step bravely into the Finnish winter - I have the armoury to deal with it. :)

Chic Parisienne et etnique :)

OK, finally I got some inspiration for the shopping. I have been really lost with what i want recently. I got some quite basic things that have sort of Parisian chic feeling about them. Black and white striped knit dress with lovely cozy pockets - well, thats classics. Looks sort of perfectly nonchalant with the rough kniteed beanie. Then comes the ethnic dress with batwing sleeeves, which i spotted long ago, but now it was discounted. Together i dressed a new "accessory of the season" - jersey necklace created out of jersey tubes also decorated with studs. Pity you can not see it that well, but it is really impressive. and yes - easy to dress and oh so soft under the winter coat. The grey mini dress - or shall i say tunic - is from Zara and it is very Parisian to me at least as well. I loved the hem, so girly. but the colour tones it down. you can wear it however you wish. Here you see it with the jersey necklace and with a striped jersey snood - from Gina Tricot. I loved the giant stripes over my neck...stripes, stripes. stripes...

Neon splashes in darkness

Darkness came on Finland and i Love it. Dark evening with lights from houses, street lights, neon logos of downtown shops - especially when they all mix in motion when you pass by in a car with good music on a background - what could be more enchanting? in darkness colours look different, they look better. i have got a passion for neon for couple of weeks now. I found a great long t-shirt in Selected Femme (seems to be among my favourite shops now). It is a very thin modal and V-neck is suitably low. Love those blurry watercolour splashes. They had the same shirt in grey shades but effect was totally 0 compared to this one with the neon green. Tights were an impulse buy from a department store, but somehow i just had to put them on with this t-shirt, they magnify the energy of the neon, don't they? :)

November Inspiration

Yes, i love November: i was born in November, good things happen to me in November, i am inspired in November. November is full of expectations - for many people...and expectation is creative.

I came across some key pieces that i was looking for some time: smth 1920s - like this Zara silk shirt with an amazing print and beatiful cut, so vintage, a biker jacket in pale (!!) colour (its from GT - so teenagers, please, dont buy the same), a pleated dress in chocolate (Zara is a sure place as always) and a pair of peg trousers (god bless H&M). Old things were digged out of the wardrobe too, like a pair of snake leggings from GT, purchased in summer and censored out by female friends. There is a right moment for everything, indeed.

The Stud

I have been looking at those studded rock-n-roll things for quite a while and i could not possibly imagine how would i incorporate that look into my rather girly wardrobe. But you know what - girly frills and studded leather look perfect together. Love my new Selected Femme leather bag. Pretty sure my little Laura will inherit it. This one gets only better with time.

Black&White

This is a nice new alternative to boring office black & white.

This Benetton shirt has a nice front frill detail, which received also many compliments.

Skirt is woolknit by Vila and a totally new length for me. I can actually look OK in under the knee skirts. :)

Boots are my fall splurge whim, they are leather, a perfect fit and over the knee. Just what the doctor prescribed. :)

COUPLE OF FALL OUTFITS

It's got cold in Helsinki, need to layer up. This is what's come out of those trials. :)

The snake blouse i got on Zara sale is finally serving the duty. On top of it comes Zara baggy knit and some old snake belt, which is actually leather. My bow bag by Zara too seems to match pretty many outfits.

Another outfit that seems comfy enough to wear during fall flues is this pink Mexx knit with a black Pieces top underneath and Mango waistcoat on top. Lindex floral scarf will keep me warmer and i just love it otherwise, my favourite scarf almost. :)

Little Sexy Things

New season - new fragrance, right? as a perfume addict, I really think so. I have got many, about 10 fragrances on my shelf. I use them in short periods depending on my set of mind. Now i needed something bodouir, something a little naughty, but with a powdery finish. I think i found my new love in London Heathrow airport shop. And its name is seductively pretty: "Little Sexy Things Noir" by Victoria's Secret, famous lingerie fashion house. Yes, it does smell like powdery lingerie shelf, it smells like an innocent but meaningful kiss. It is revealing itself slowly but it gives a very sexy impression when open to full bloom. My new fashionable passion. Irresistable....

Outfit #1 - My New Fall/Winter Jacket

Recently turned into a Marimekko fan and living so temptingly close to Marimekko Outlet Factory Shop, I have been updating my wardrobe with quite a few Marimekko quirky clothes.

This jacket is a great buy. I love the print and i love the quality feeling of the fabric and stitching. No wonder original price was almost 400eur. Luckily, i got it 70% off. :)

Slim black jeans are Marc o'Polo's and they are also from the outlet store, bought with 50% discount. I like this brand for good quality and simple lines and shapes suitable for people who actually have some hips. :)

Shoes are a wonder find from St-Petersburg small boutique, they are real leather, i love the croc gloss of them and manly shape. Simply cool. :)

This sort of outfit will probably save me through many rainy days Fall/Winter 2010.

Starting a Blog! ME?!

OK, So I am starting a blog, a fashion blog. I am not lonely and I am not crazy, but i need to put my passion for fashion in here, as my "not so mainstream" (quote from one of my friends) ideas will be wasted without any records.

I am a young mum, but i still find time to pick an outfit to wear every single day and i find fashion one of the easiest ways of expressing myself. My style varies a lot and recently it has experienced a change: i stopped being too careful with it. Maybe that's one of the reasons i would like to start this little project of mine. Let's see how often i will maintain it...:)
